Teochew Orh Nee (yam paste) by Sally Quek


What u need:
Yam
Gingko nuts
Shallot oil
Fine sugar

Method:
1. Cut yam into slices (remember ur plastic gloves when handling yam)
Steam the sliced yam for abt 30-40 mins
2. While steaming the yam, boil gingko nuts with sugar, set aside to cool.
3. When yam is done, mash yam with fine sugar n shallot oil.
4. Scoop desired amount into bowl n serve with gingko nuts.
